An Afternoon at Campiello Naples
Campiello Naples is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Naples. It’s actually where my now husband and I spent our first Valentine’s Day! I recently had lunch there with my friends Piper and Christine and we had a wonderful time. I knew I had to share my experience and our delicious meal!
Drinks
We started off by ordering drinks, I got the deliciously refreshing Amalfi Coast martini. It encompassed the essence of my favorite Italian seaside region with citrus vodka, limoncello, and a sweet sugar rim. My friends ordered bellinis, which one can never go wrong with.
Appetizers
Next up, antipasti! First off, we were all quite hungry so for our appetizers we ordered spicy fried calamari, affettati misti which is mixed Italian salume and cheese, as well as the classic burrata and heirloom tomato salad. This is a combination of starters that I order often while in Italy. And Campiello instantly transported me back to Italy from the second I took my first bite!
EntreesĀ
We continued our Italian feast by ordering spaghetti alla chitarra with Campiello’s famous meatballs and margherita pizza. We all split the food and there was definitely more than enough to go around! I took a moment to pose with the pasta in true Sophia Loren fashion. Expect the pictures of me eating the pasta weren’t nearly as fabulous as Sophia.
Desserts
To top off our perfect Italian lunch, we finished it off with espressos and desserts. We split a rich and creamy cannoli cheesecake topped with sugared pistachios and butterscotch budino with hazelnut honey toffee and sea salt. It was a delightfully sweet end to our afternoon living la dolce vita.
In conclusion, I would like to thank Campiello Naples for treating me and my friends to such a wonderful Italian fest and the opportunity to work with them! Stop by Campiello Naples some time and enjoy yourself an authentic Italian meal in the comfort of Naples off of Third Street South!
