Hey, mommas-to-be! In case you missed the news, I’m pregnant! Now that I’m 23 weeks, I’ve gotten a decent taste of the wide variety of pregnancy symptoms and woes that most women experience by now. So I can finally share the pregnancy essentials that have helped me throughout my pregnancy! As well as what I plan to use during my third trimester that’s a few weeks away. So let’s get right into it!
Once you find out that you’re pregnant, you get hit with a sudden rush of so many emotions, thoughts, fears, questions, concerns, and symptoms! Nausea, food aversions, fatigue, bloating, headaches, constipation, and sore breasts are all common symptoms. I can assure you, it will get better! I swear I lived off of carbs and ginger-based products for about a month because of nausea and food aversions. Take it easy during this time and start taking a prenatal every day if you haven’t started already. I like Premama Wellness prenatal supplements because they have the right amount of vitamins you need and as a bonus they’re minty! There are lots of prenatal supplements out there that taste awful and then to upset your stomach. Also, buy a pregnancy book or two and try not to Google everything (I did and I drove myself insane some days).
Ah, at last, the second trimester! This has for sure been my favorite time of my pregnancy. It’s no wonder why everyone calls this the “honeymoon phase” of pregnancy. I finally announced that I was pregnant to everyone and that alone just felt soo good. As an added bonus, my fatigue, nausea, and food aversions all went away. With the new trimester, came some new symptoms but nothing too crazy. Personally, I experienced: nasal congestion, acid reflux, some heartburn, restless leg syndrome, and some lower back pain. I bought and used all of the products listed below and they have all helped me during this stage.
The final countdown! I’m updating this post now that I’m 30 weeks and am in the third trimester. Ah, holy back pain and feeling uncomfortable lol. Lately, all I’m looking for is comfort and relieving that back pain that comes with growing this beautiful baby bump. I’ve started seeing my chiropractor more frequently now that my back pain has increased. That plus some other changes have really helped me.
